Today dawn , violent clashes broke out in Mansoura district,in Aden after a security force, loyal to the United Arab Emirates ,attempted to arrest the leader of the so-called “Southern Resistance” , named Walid al-Idrisi.
Local sources said a security force, backed by the United Arab Emirates and affiliated to the Aden security department, stormed the Martyrs’ Square and clashed with gunmen ,youth activists of the February 16 Revolution.
According to the sources, Idrissi was arrested after he wrote hostile slogans to the UAE on the walls of the port of Aden.
The security force was able to arrest Idrissi and transferred him to the headquarters of the UAE administration in Brega.
Aden city, which was occupied by UK but now under the control of UAE, and the rest of the southern cities witnessed an insecurity situation that increased the assassinations of imams of mosques and security and military leaderships
