According to the reports, the Iraqi Air Force targeted the Deash`s gathering points around the Tanak and Thuwra areas of western Mosul, killing 40+ terrorists in the process of this powerful aerial assault.

In addition to the airstrike, the Iraqi Armed Forces managed to liberate more territory inside of Mosul, inching them closer to the strategic Al-Nouri Mosque.

The Al-Nouri Mosque is not only one of the largest religious sites in the city, but it is also the same place where the Islamic State’s leader, Ibrahim Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, delivered his last speech inside of Mosul.
