The Bahrain Human Rights Forum documented 2389 violations in Bahrain in 2016.
In its annual report entitled “Bahrain: Map of Persecution and Civil Society Crash”, the Bahrain Human Rights Forum reported that “human rights violations in Bahrain are more severe than ever before and more systematically” .
According to the report, “337 violations of religious freedoms were committed during 2016, as well as the number of nationalities projected in violation of the law 306, in addition to the 1246 Bahraini citizens were arbitrarily detained, including 185 children.”
“The Bahraini authorities have imposed a total ban on peaceful assembly since 2014, and excessive force has been used to disperse the demonstrators since 2011, leaving 4997 injured.
The report included details on the tightening of the political and human rights. “Legislation and amendments to some laws, including the Law on Political Associations, the Bahraini Penal Code, and the Law Society Protection from Acts of Terror.
The report added “the Bahraini authorities have provided themselves with the legal pretext for arbitrariness in the abrogation of nationality, through the Nationality Law and the Law of Terrorism, while failing to provide effective administrative or judicial review of the projected nationalities.”
