Syrian Army destroys Daesh’s large supply tunnel in Deir Ezzor City

The Syrian Arab Army detected a massive tunnel belonging to the Daesh terror organization inside the provincial capital of the Deir Ezzor Governorate on Saturday.

According to local reports, the Syrian Arab Army unearthed this tunnel inside the Old Airport District of Deir Ezzor after carrying out a cleansing military operation in the region.

The tunnel was reportedly 150 meters long and was used by Daesh to infiltrate supplies to militants combating the Syrian Arab Army units in the province.

The Old Airport District of Deir Ezzor City is located at the western part of the provincial capital; it is still under contestation.
