The city of Aden, currently under control of the Saudi-backed ousted president, Hadi, witnessed several protests earlier today.
Major roads were stopped from functioning by a number of employees with no salaries, local source reported to YemenExtra.
The angry protesters were responsible for cutting off main roads by setting tires on fire, demanding the Saudi-backed Yemeni president to provide salary payments, which has not been available for months. They also called for a solution regarding the water and electricity crisis.
Residents of Aden continue to endure the hot weather amid an electricity blackout.
