Mhardeh thermal power plant in northern Hama countryside is back in service after 7 months of forced outage caused by continuous shelling by militants.

Having finished necessary repair works, engineers were able to boot half of the power plant’s systems and reintegrate the facility back into Syrian Electric Grid. As a consequence, overall power generated in the grid has been boosted by 110 megawatt.

This led to improvement of the situation in power engineering sphere of Syrian economy as central regions of the country, including Hama province, are now able of supplying themselves with electricity on their own.

In addition, a lot of electricity issues were fixed after Syrian Army had recaptured gas and oil fields in east Homs countryside effectively putting an end to fuel shortage in the region.
