A Meeting Chaired by the Minister of Media Discusses the Performance of the National Media during the Last Period

A meeting in Sana’a on Saturday chaired by the Media Minister Ahmed Mohamed Hamid discussed the performance of the national media during the last period and its plan for the coming period.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Media Hashim Sharafuddin, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Radio and Television Affairs and External Media Ahmed Al-Hamati and Acting Undersecretary for Press Affairs Abdullah Sabri expresses the obstacles facing by the media work and the solutions necessary to overcome them during the current stage.

The participants stressed the importance of activating the boards of directors of the ministry and media institutions and holding periodic meetings to assess the level of performance and address the difficulties in the progress of work, stressing the importance of preparing a report about  the level of implementation of media institutions of the ministry matrix within the general program of the National Salvation Government.

They also stressed the necessity of adopting a list of the audio, visual and electronic media to organize the media work, prepare the program map for the holy month of Ramadan and include programs to confront the Saudi led coalition and embody the national unity and the cohesion of the home front.

At the meeting, the Minister of Media stressed the importance of discipline in the Ministry’s General Office and various media institutions and redouble efforts to develop the level of performance commensurate with the extraordinary stage through which the country is undergoing as a result of the brutal Saudi-led coalition.

He stressed the interest of the ministry leadership in the media organizations and the completion of the procedures for obtaining the commodity card in the other institutions that did not start applying the card system to alleviate the suffering of workers, especially with the coming of the holy month of Ramadan.
