The Supreme Council of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) announced the launching of the popular civil march from the United Nations headquarters to Sana’a International Airport on Monday morning.
During a press conference, the preparatory committee for the march called on international and humanitarian organizations to participate in the popular civil march launched under the slogan “Our airport is a lifeline” in order to convey the suffering of the Yemeni people to the rest of the world.
The Committee also called on all groups and components of the Yemeni people, including the unions, disabled people, youth and women to participate in the march to convey their stranded voices in and outside of the besieged country by the Saudi-led coalition.
“The aims of the march is to put pressure regarding the re-opening of Sana’a International Airport and lift the air, sea and land siege on all of Yemen. We also demand the rescue of patients and to provide the rapid humanitarian relief, especially medicine. Finally, our march calls for the delivery of salary payments; neutralizing food, medicine and salaries from the fight”, the committee explained.
