The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) controlled two villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, Wednesday, after progressing south of the Tal Hassan Quarries in the Deir Hafer Plain.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army liberated Jirah Kabir and Daroubiyah after strong clashes with Daesh terror organization near the strategic Jirah Military Airbase.
With Jirah Kabir and Daroubiyah under their control, the Syrian Arab Army has successfully got into the northern part of the Maskanah Plain for the first time since they withdrew from this region in the Summer of 2012.
The Syrian Arab Army’s primary objective of this most recent offensive is to capture Daesh’s last stronghold in the Aleppo Governorate, which is the town of Maskanah.
The capture of Maskanah will lead the Syrian Arab Army to seize the remaining territory under Daesh’s control in the Aleppo Governorate.
