French military carries out 80 missions around Syria, Iraq this week: DM

The French military launched at least 80 missions around Syria and Iraq, the French Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 80 missions carried out by the French military led toat least 8 artillery strikes against the Islamic State (ISIL)Daesh forces, the Ministry of Defense went on.

Based on the map given by the French Ministry of Defense, their artillery strikes were focused on Daesh’s positions in Syria’s Al-Raqqa Governorate, and Iraq’s Al-Anbar (south of Al-Ramadi) and Nineveh (southern Mosul) governorates.

These attacks by the French military are considered to be part of their current “Operation Chammal,” which claims to be aiming at the terrorist organization’s defeat in Syria and Iraq.
