A powerful explosion erupted through a building in Nawa city in Dara’a province on Thursday afternoon.

According to sources, a suicide bomber affiliated with the so-called “Daesh” was able to enter the headquarters of Qassem Abu Al-Zen, leader of the military council of Nawa. The latter is connected with the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) that has the city under control.

Having sneaked inside, the suicide bomber detonated himself killing a number of FSA members as well, while also resulting in material damage.

Until now, no exact number of casualties has been issued.

It is not the first time the military council of Nawa becomes a target for Daesh, as the designated terror group already carried out a terrorist attack inside council’s HQ earlier, in February 2017.

Daesh-controlled town of Tasil is located just 9 kilometers southwest of Nawa. Being unable to conduct large-scale operations against predominate FSA forces, Daesh rebels depend on sneak terrorist attacks and blitz raids.
