The official spokesman for the Yemeni Government of National Salvation and Minister of Information, Ahmed Hamid, ridiculed the ongoing rumors and false allegations promoted by some media outlets, in favor of the Saudi-led coalition, reporting on the entry of chemical weapons into Yemen.

Hamid warned against repeating a chemical scenario fabricated to serve the interests of the current Saudi-led war against Yemen.

“The countries of aggression are promoting the entry of chemical weapons with malicious targets and intentions,” Hamed said in a statement quoted by the official Saba News Agency.

“These include committing crimes and massacres using prohibited weapons against civilians, as happened in Syria, and falsely holding the Yemeni army and popular committees responsible.”

He also stressed that these fabrications will not achieve their goal and will not fool nor ratify anyone. He continues by confirming that it will not influence the steadfastness of the Yemeni people with its attempts to create a situation of panic, thereby causing the evacuation of their cities and villages, but would rather remain as strong and resilient.

Moreover, Hamid affirmed that the Yemeni allied forces are only targeting the military positions, which are launching hostile missiles and shells based on the testimony of the world, pointing out that there is an air, land and sea blockade imposed on Yemen for more than two years under the supervision of the United Nations and is being implemented with the latest and most sophisticated technology.

Additionally, the spokesman warned the United States, Al Saud regime, the UAE and the rest of the coalition forces of using these banned weapons or taking any further step in this regard, blaming the US administration for the usage of these weapons, such as the international forbidden cluster bombs, and accusing it of being the ultimate director of the current war as it continues to sell weapon deals worth billions for the Saudis.

He concluded by calling upon the world, the international community, the United Nations and international organizations to carry out their moral responsibilities by compelling the countries of the coalition to not stratify such steps involving chemical weapons and to completely cease the usage of all prohibited weapons.
