Turkistani emir arrested by Daesh in Latakia, Syria

Discord between various Daesh groups in Syria still present as recent events proved – this time in northern Latakia countryside.

On Wednesday, militants of Failaq Al-Sham group arrested emir of Turkistan Party (TIP, Uighur rebel group from China) in Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish mountains)

Abd Al-Khaleq was reportedly an “emir of the Mediterranean coast”.

According to sources, he was arrested after his unit waged mortar shells on Syrian Army’s positions in the region effectively breaching ceasefire.

Failaq Al-Sham, as Turkish-backed group, is a designated part of the ceasefire. So far, militants of the group managed to adhere to the agreement.
