Iraqi Army Frees “Daesh” –Held Neighborhoods in Mosul

After a brief cavity to empty civilians through humanitarian porches, the Iraqi Armed Forces continued their counter-insurgency operations in the last three “Daesh”-held neighborhoods of Mosul city.
On Saturday, the Counter Terrorism Units, 9th Division and Rapid Response Division aimed at the northern ward of the “Daesh”, backed by Saudi, district and freed the Third Bridge, Ibn Sina hospital, Medical City and the largely ruined International Hotel in the Al-Shafaa district.
Meantime, the Iraqi Federal Police arrested hundreds of “Daesh” fighters , backed by Saudi, over the border in the densely populated Old City neighborhood which houses the symbolic Al-Nouri mosque where Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi established his caliphate back in 2014.
Meanwhile, the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) followed up on recent gains in western Nineveh by freeing the desert villages of Rambos Al-Sharqyia, Rambos Ghabryia and Al-Adnanyia, so advancing within 40 kilometers of the thus frontier with Syria.
