The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their large-scale offensive in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, today, targeting Daesh’s (ISIL) last positions near the key town of Maskanah.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army attempted to advance further east into the Maskanah Plain, attacking Daesh’s defenses at the village of Al-Samoumah.
Within hours of waging this attack, the Syrian Arab Army liberated Al-Samoumah and the nearby town of Al-Jaza’, killing and wounding scores of Daesh terrorists en route to their advance towards Maskanah’s western flank.
Adding to the liberation of these sites, the Syrian Arab Army was also capable of seizing most of the Tuwayhinah Mountains, which spells bad news for Daesh militants along the Maskanah-Tabaqa Road.
