The Popular Crowd Liberates al-Baaj District west of Mosul

The Popular Forces announced on Sunday the liberation of al-Baaj district, west of Mosul in the north of the country, from the control of the “Daesh” group, backed by Saudi Arabia.

“We congratulate the Iraqi people on the liberation of the district of Al-Baaj from the control of “Daesh”, backed by Saudi Arabia,” the leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis told the official website of the popular crowd.

“The liberation of Al-Baaj is a great achievement,” he said, adding that “victory would not have been achieved without the blood of the martyrs and the prayer of the faithful in this holy month , the month of  good , giving and from victory to victory.”

The popular mobilization media had  announced that the process of liberating of al-Ba’ja district, the second largest district in Iraq, was qualitative and took only hours.

Notably, the liberation of the district of Al-Baaj will contribute to cut off supplies from the elements of “Da’esh” , backed by Saudi Arabia, in the district of Tal Afar, where Baaj was the base and the starting point of “Daesh”, backed by Saudi Arabia, towards Mosul and the liberation of the Baath makes Tal Afar fall militarily.
