The Syrian Arab Army resumed their field operations in Palmyra’s southeastern countryside, Tuesday, targeting the Bir Al-Badiya region near the T-3 Pumping Station.
Supported by intense Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps stormed the Bir Al-Badiya area in order to catch Daesh forces off-guard.
Daesh was expecting the Syrian Arab Army to assault the Talilah area once again; however, the latter’s high command changed the battle contingency to go around this site.
According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army has liberated and secured the Bir Al-Badiya area and they are now pushing further east towards the T-3 Pumping Station.
As they push further east, the Syrian Arab Army will ultimately impose fire-control over Talilah, forcing Daesh militants to abandon their positions in this region.
