Iraqi Forces Free Syrian Border-Intersection

The pro-government Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) freed a new border-intersection , Saturday, following a short battle with “Daesh” forces , backed by Saudi Arabia,  in the area.

The Popular Mobilization Units, beside the border-guards, freed the Al-Waleed Border-intersection that leads into Syria’s Homs Governorate ,according to a statement released by the Iraqi Joint Command,.

The Popular Mobilization Units first regained the Al-Waleed Intersection in 2015, but they would later lose this site after a counter-offensive by “Daesh” , backed by Saudi Arabia in southwest Al-Anbar.

Due to this effective operation, the Iraqi Armed Forces have freed the Iraqi-Syrian-Jordanian borders, marking the first time since 2014 that their forces have established control over this area.

Sayyed #Houthi, the leader of Ansar Allah in #Yemen, warned the world leaders from Saudi Arabia, whom is a major exporter of the kind of jihadist ideology that drives groups like al-Qaeda and the Deash.
