Odd event took place near Nassib town in southern Dara’a countryside, Sunday.
Commander of a technical unit in the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), Abd Allah Hussein Al-Shareef, was killed when trying to dismantle an IED (improvised explosive device) as it had reportedly blown up right to his own face.
Two of his associates have been wounded as a result of the blast.
Peculiarity of the situation is that the IED might well have been planted in Nassib outskirts by FSA militants themselves, as there are no rival rebel factions in this region to conflict with them.
