Iraqi Border Guards Advance 40 km towards Al-Qaim Port

Iraqi border guards on Monday continued to advance from al-Walid border post with Syria toward al-Qaim port and regain control of a distance of 40 kilometers from the grip of “Daesh” organization , backed by Saudi Arabia.
According to “Alsumaria News”  site, “A  force of the leadership of the border guards of the second area in Anbar advanced this morning from the port of Walid border with Syria towards the port of the Iraqi border with Syria as well.”

The source added that “the force was able to clear 40 kilometers from the port of Al-Walid border to the port of the border,” , adding that “there are operations of purges and advancing of border guards until the liberation and clearance of the Syrian-Iraqi border west of Anbar.”
During the past two days, the Iraqi forces have managed to recapture  Al-Walid border with Syria from the control of “Daesh” organization , backed by Saudi Arabia, and the control of the border between the port of Trebil and the port of Al-Walid border.
