As a result of the attack, Amaq Agency claimed killing 17 PMU soldiers and capturing 31 vehicles from the Iraqi garrison.
Notably , “Daesh” , backed by Saudi Arabia, wants to separate the newly established supply line that connects Damascus with Baghdad through a government corridor of desert territory neighboring the Al-Tanf border crossing where US special troops are based.
This supply line , in addition, severs to establish a land way between Iran and Hezbollah, consequently allowing the latter to receive weapons by road instead of air.
