Iraqi Forces Free 2/3 of Mosul’s Old City: Leader Says

According to the leader of the federal police, Ra’ed Shaker Joudat on Saturday the Iraqi Armed Forces have freed two thirds of Mosul’s Old City District during the past two weeks.

As a result of the army and federal police intensive military operations in this district, “Daesh” , backed by Saudi Arabia, has been obligated to integrate their sites in the last neighborhoods they control inside Mosul’s Old City.

The Iraqi Armed Forces are predictable to face tough resistance in the last neighborhoods under “Daesh” control, despite their fast advance ,as the terrorist group clings onto these final buildings in their former stronghold .
