Syrian Army, Hezbollah tremendously nears Deir Ezzor amid new advance

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive in the southeastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, Saturday, targeting the (ISIL) positions close to the provincial border of Deir Ezzor.

Supported by Hezbollah and Liwaa Fatemiyoun, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps waged a powerful assault in the Humaymah region of Homs this morning, inflicting heavy losses on ISIL’s positions.

Within hours of conducting this assault, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies were capable of capturing most of the hilltops in the region, while also killing and injuring a number of of the terrorists along the road to the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

This most recent advance by the Syrian Arab Army and their allies comes just days after they seized extra territory along the Iraqi border with the Homs Governorate.
