Yemeni Almasirah Channel Wins Two Awards at the Union of Islamic Radio and Television Festival

Arabic-speaking Almasirah Yemeni channel won two awards at the Islamic Federation of Islamic Radio and Television Festival, which terminated Tuesday in the Iranian city of Mashhad.

Almasirah TV received the award for best talk show “With the Event” from the festival as well as an award for the documentary “Mass Killings”.

The two awards were handed over to Mr. Ibrahim Al-Dailami, Director General of Almasirah Network.

During the festival, six television channels, three radio stations and one foundation were elected as original members of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Radio and Television Federation.

At the closing ceremony, the General Assembly honored the martyrs and wounded of the Islamic media and distributed prizes for the best television and film productions participating in the 2017 Media Union Festival.

Almasirah channel is a Yemeni channel speaking on behalf of the so-called “Houthis” also known as Ansarullah. The channel frequently broadcasts exclusive military documentations right from the frontlines against Saudi forces and its paid militia, in addition to many other activities that inform the audience about the Ansarullah revolution.

The Saudi regime with its tremendous wealth responded by creating a very similar channel with the same name and slogan in an attempt to mislead the audience.

Almasirah was not the only victim, many other fake Yemeni channels were established to show gratitude for the current Saudi war against Yemen, which also look alike to the original ones.
