Battle Rages to Take over an “Daesh”-Occupied Building in Mosul

On Friday afternoon ,intensive fighting occurred on Mosul’s Al-Najafi , as Iraqi troops looked to take the Al-Shawaf building, a bastion of the self-declared “Daesh” ,backed by Saudi Arabia, within the city.

While most of the city has been freed from”Daesh” forces, backed by Saudi Arabia small pockets of resistance still remain, specially in the western suburbs of Mosul.

The Iraqi armed forces should be able to take these last pockets in the coming weeks, as “Daesh” ,backed by Saudi Arabia, lack the necessary supplies to keep fighting.
