The National Association of Yemeni Midwives has launched the distribution of food basket for 300 families in need based in the districts of the capital Sana’a.
The deputy head of the association, Sabah Hussein al-Dhafri, said that the project targets the most poor and needy families, orphans and others affected by the tragic situation due to the Saudi-led coalition and its devastating war.
Al-Dhafri added that the association worked on preparing a database listing many families under the poverty line and is struggling to provide them with the most basic needs and emergency interventions to alleviate their suffering, as well as assist them in overcoming the difficult economic condition imposed by the US-backed war and the air, sea and land siege.
