The forces of the Saudi-led coalition hijacked a diesel steamship allocated for the electricity of the coastal governorate of Hodeidah, and it has been forced to be transferred to an Emirati port instead.
The forces of the coalition captured the diesel steamship dedicated to the electricity of the extremely hot governorate and changed its route to the port of Fujairah under the control of the UAE after being held for days, local source reported to YemenExtra.
It has been said that this step taken by the coalition aims to punish the people of Hodeidah, which have been displaying resistance against Saudi and UAE attempts to occupy the governorate as they suffer from the rise of heat temperatures in the summer.
Adding to the agony, the governorate also suffers the lack of sufficient t hospitals and utilities because of the power outages, source added.
Moreover, the United Nations and the international community appealed to take action and put an end to such actions that go after the hardship of civilians.
On the 9th of this month, the coalition forces also detained the ship (Frio), which carried an amount of diesel fuel for Hodeidah, off the coast of Eritrea, and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeidah.
