World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and WFP are expected to visit Yemen in the coming days to see the health and humanitarian situation in Yemen as it has been dubbed the “worst humanitarian catastrophe in the world.”
In the same context, the Yemeni Government of National Salvation welcomed the visit of international officials, and confirmed its keenness to provide all the factors necessary for the visit’s success and it reaching its humanitarian goals.
The Sana’a based government, which was approved by the country’s only parliament, formed a technical committee from various concerned bodies to discuss and arrange the technical aspects of the visit.
Since the beginning of the US-backed Saudi war on March 26th of 2015, Yemen has been witnessing an unprecedented level of suffering with the constant airstrikes, emerged famine, cholera outbreak and it being under a sea, land and air siege doubles the agony for each of the aforementioned dilemmas.
