The Syrian government troops repelled a big assault waged by Daesh on Jadeed Fritan hill in the eastern countryside of Hama.

A military source stated that at least 15 militants were killed and wounded in the failed attack.

Meanwhile, the Army troops – supported by the Palestinian al-Quds Brigade and local fighters – resumed the offensive aimed to recapture the Daesh-held Qualib al-Thor town.

The government forces were capable to seize a strategic hill that overlooks the town, thus opening the way for more significant advances inside the town.

The same town was almost completely captured by the Syrian Army, but was forced to retreat following a fierce counterattack by the militants of Daesh.
