Female Role in the Newly Established Yemeni Government Based in Sana’a

Saleh al-Samad, head of the Supreme Political Council at the presidential palace in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, met today with the Minister of Human Rights Alia Al-Shaabi.
The meeting discussed the situation of the Ministry of Human Rights and its efforts in the current stage and the difficulties it faces due to the political and media siege imposed by the forces of the Saudi-led coalition to cover up its crimes and violations of human rights in Yemen, and its unprecedented breaches of international humanitarian law in its war against the Yemeni people and a sovereign state.
The President of the Supreme Political Council also stressed on the importance of the role of the Ministry of Human Rights, praising the efforts of its national cadres, its accumulated experience and its ability to overcome the conditions of the media and political siege.
In addition, he stressed on the necessity of its full support by all political and legal parties and the National Salvation Government, as well as to facilitate its work and follow-up of its tasks in monitoring and documenting the crimes of the two years and a half-long Saudi war and creating regional and international networking and advocacy for the injustice of the Yemeni people.
