Lebanese security forces were able to uncover and eventually capture 4 ISIS members in the country’s north.
The members – who formed a sleeper cell – were active in the region located between Tripoli and al-Daniyah in north Lebanon, and were found to have regular contacts with several senior ISIS commanders in Syria and Iraq.
The Lebanese forces raided their hideout and seized large amounts of weapons, ammunition and equipment; including 13 60mm caliber missiles, 13 detonators, rifles, pistols, electronic equipment and detailed maps of north Lebanon and al-Beqaa area.
Meanwhile, the 2nd phase of the exchange deal concluded by both Hezbollah and the al-Qaeda-affiliate Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham is being conducted as the Lebanese faction managed to take over most of the territories gained by the terrorist group in Arsal town along the borders with Syria.
