A soldier was killed while 20 others sustained wounds on Wednesday in armed clashes during an attack on a police station in Saudi-held Aden, southern Yemen.
Clashes broke out between armed men wearing military uniforms who attacked the police station in Sheikh Othman district based in northern Aden, and the security forces. The confrontations lasted for about an hour and caused panic among the residents of the neighborhood.
A jewelry shop in the same neighborhood was also looted last Sunday by anonymous armed men, who fled on two cars they used to carry out the operation.
The city of Aden and the southern Yemeni governorates are experiencing a state of security chaos and the spread of the Takfiri groups, such as Al-Qaeda, criminal gangs and robbery under the supervision of forces affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition.
