Three Hezbollah fighters were freed Tuesday midnight as a part of Swap deal with Nusr Front terrorists.
The three fighters were exchanged for three Nusra terrorists who were jailed by Lebanese authorities in Roumieh prison.
The three Hezbollah fighters were captured by the Ttakfiri group as they lost their way during the latest battle in Arsal outskirts.
The release of the fighters in exchange of terrorists was a part of a swap deal between Hezbollah and Nusra Front, which was sponsored by the Lebanese General Security (G.S.).
Head of the G.S. Majr General Abbas Ibrahim brokered a ceasefire deal on July 27 and began talks for the Nusra militants and their families to leave for Syria. The deal followed an offensive launched by Hezbollah aimed at cleansing Arsal outskirts of Nusra terrorists.
The deal stipulates that once the militants, their families and other Syrian refugees reach Syria’s Aleppo five other Hezbollah fighters, who have been captured by Nusra would be released.
Earlier on Sunday, five bodies of Hezbollah martyrs were exchanged for nine Nusra corpses in the first stage of the deal which was sponsored by G.S. and Lebanese Red Cross.
