Despite being expelled from most of Iraq, underground “Daesh” members, backed by Saudi Arabia, are still present across most major cities, representing a menace to society.

On Friday , photos showed a lone Iraqi soldier, supposedly called Hamid Ali Muhammad Al-Faraji. He was executed on the spot in a northern suburb of Baghdad earlier this week.

Although fully under government control and heavily patrolled by security forces, Baghdad remains a persistent target for suicide bombers with numerous such attacks taking place each and every week.

However, the Iraqi Army officially restored the country’s second largest city, Mosul, under government control last month while new offensives are in the making to eliminate “Daesh”last strongholds in Tal Afar, Hawija and Anbar.
