The United Nations report revealed that the number of air strikes launched by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen during the first half of this year 2017, exceeded the number of raids of the previous full year.

The monthly rate of raids on the country’s governorates this year is almost three times higher than last year, according to a report by the Cluster Munitions Protection Organization in Yemen.

It added that the number of monthly clashes between the Yemeni joint army and the Saudi paid militias also doubled compared to last year.

The battlefronts are witnessing a major escalation by the Yemeni joint military, especially on the border fronts, where they made progress during the past few days and captured a number of camps and Saudi positions in Jizan, Najran and Asir.
