The city of Aden based in southern Yemen witnessed on Saturday armed clashes that broke out between armed militias, according to local sources close to YemenExtra.
The clashes took place between gunmen who have been protesting for days to demand the extradition of the killers of Captain Hassan Qamata, security director of the monitoring department in Abyan governorate, who was killed by the forces of the Aden security department in a hotel located in Dar Sa’ad.
The sources pointed out that the clashes and the shooting continues, while the perimeter of the scene in Khour Makssar remains quite tense.
The city of Aden has been witnessing a situation of the spread of militants significantly coincided with the hovering of the Saudi-led fighter jets over the city.
