The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Sharaf Ghaleb Luqman, charged the Saudi-led coalition, of targeting a Libyan oil vessel in Bab al-Mandab that was coming from Iran to gain international support for its possible escalation to target Hodeidah and the western coasts.

Brigadier General Luqman said  that “targeting the Libyan ship is a really a crime which we condemn strongly  because it is the same weapon and the same method of targeting that destroys the property of Yemen, including innocence ones. ”

“It is nothing new in what the Saudi-led coalition calls these lies to justify attacking Hodeidah, but strangely coincides with a public warning to the British government of merchant ships passing through Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden that they may be targeted by booby-trapped boats or by rocket-propelled grenades of military “.

He pointed out that Britain, a superpower before it resorted to supporting the course of its interests with the Saudi-led coalition was free to stand in front of the Yemeni scene more carefully and not involved in war crimes which aimed at killing and making the entire Yemeni people starve.

The spokesman for the armed forces said that the cheap means used by the Saudi-led coalition to reach Hodeidah is a natural result of the fractures of its forces and its continuing defeats on all internal fronts and beyond the border.

He also confirmed that the local and international public opinion is fully convinced of the absurdity of this unjust war against Yemen. It is also absurd to continue to charge the Yemeni joint forces with honor and pride for their territorial integrity and the dignity of their citizens and that they may pose a threat to maritime navigation and target civil commerce.

He concluded saying  that the operations of the Yemeni joint forces against the Saudi-led coalition are committed to the traditions and the honor of the free fighters in not harming the civil interests. What is targeted is enemy warships when they enter Yemeni territorial waters only, warships that follow the forces of aggression and are in a hostile state towards Yemen and its people and land.
