Medical scientists accuse the Saudi alliance of being behind the outbreak of a cholera epidemic in Yemen, the Lancet medical journal said in a scientific article.
The strikes by the Saudi-led Arab coalition aircraft destroyed hospitals and water systems, the article said.
The author of the article, Jonathan Kennedy of Queen Mary University in London and his colleagues say that Saudi Arabia and its allies have caused the emergence of a cholera epidemic in Yemen.
They also charged the United States and Britain with explaining that their industrial companies and their governments supply the Arab alliance with weapons and intelligence.
Meanwhile, the author pointed out that Saudi Arabia had recently donated $ 67 million to UNICEF for cholera control.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said the number of cases of cholera in Yemen exceeded half a million and about 2,000 people died from the epidemic.
According to a report published by the organization that the epidemic of cholera in Yemen is the largest epidemic currently deployed in the world.
The International Committee of the Red Cross warned that the number of cholera cases in Yemen will exceed 600 thousand by the end of 2017.
