The Yemeni women’s human rights initiative held on Tuesday a protest and a photo exhibition in front of the United Nations headquarters based in the capital city Sana’a.

The participants raised banners condemning the systematic and deliberate killing of civilians amid the silence of international community, local source reported to YemenExtra.

The Yemeni women’s initiative to confront the Saudi-war issued a statement, which was distributed to media outlets and the headquarters of the United Nations building, demanding the rapid adoption of international legal measures to halt the US-backed Saudi war, as well as the formation of an impartial international commission to investigate the massacres.

Moreover, the event took place particularly following two recent massacres where the first targeted Arhab Hotel and the second aimed at residential neighborhoods in Attan region, southern Sana’a.
