UN Secretary-General adviser inspects damage to Yemen’s vital Hodeidah port

Governor of Hodeidah, Hassan Ahmed Al-Heij met with the UN adviser for Humanitarian Affairs Radwan Bonsir and representative of OCHA George Khoury, local source reported to YemenExtra.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the possible role of the United Nations for the reconstruction of Hodeidah port as it remains one of the most vital ports for the entry of food and medicines, source added.
Moreover, the UN officials were briefed about the port situation and the humanitarian situation in the port city.
Meanwhile, the UN officials inspected the damaged cranes and demolition in the port caused by the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes.
