Syrian Army Keeps Advancing in Many Large Towns Through Syria

After liberating various of towns from ISIS throughout central Syria over the last fortnight, the Syrian Army is now in a position to attack one of the largest remaining terrorist strongholds in the region.
Today, the Syrian forces secured the settlements of al-Shalishat, Um Ten and al-Nabtiyah located near the Shumarriyah Mountain Chain in north-central Homs Governorate.
Due to liberating al-Shalishat, pro-government forces became involved in a noteworthy battle against ISIS, ultimately killing and wounding at least several ISIS soldiers over the course of the engagement and shelling those that retreated from the town.
By this advance, the Syrian Army established security to almost every settlement in the area around the strategic town of Jibb al-Jarrah which is, following Uqayribat’s recent liberation, one of the most important ISIS strongholds left in central Syria.
