ISIS is losing a small swath of land they control in central Syria amid massive Army advance.
Today, the Syrian Army managed to take control over al-Moadamiyah town, located to the south-east of Aqirbat; the former ISIS heartland.
The battle lasted for 2 days for al-Moadamiyah before the elite troops of the 4th Armored Division – which spearheaded the offensive and completely seized the town, a source reported.
The source noted that Army troops entered the town last night but couldn’t fortify its positions due to ISIS counteroffensive.
Taking control of al-Moadamiyah will further make the government forces’ push to liberate Soha; a key bastion for ISIS in the pocket.
In order for this to happen, the Syrian Army will attempt to cut off all supply routes to Soha and hunt down as many ISIS soldiers as possible.
