ISIS Claims It Killed Three Russian Soldiers

According to the group of ISIS, its militants have killed three Russian soldiers in Deir Ezzor province amid heavy clashes throughout the central areas of the region.

Yesterday, the ISIS-linked Amaq news agency posted images of three pro-government troops that ISIS forces have killed in Deir Ezzor.

However, It is not entirely clear if the pro-government soldiers were killed near the Deir Ezzor city area or on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River as some sources claim.

It was also unclear to what exact military formation the three killed soldiers belonged to. The pictures shows some of the deceased fighters to have facial hair and they do not have the standard uniforms of the army. Therefore, it is unlikely that they were Russian, and they were not a part of the Russian Ground Forces or any other official military service branches.
