ISIS linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham group started a large-scale offensive in the northern countryside of the Hama province this Tuesday, targeting the key town of Ma’an near the Hama-Idlib Highway.

However, the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham would not go according to plan, as ISIS lost scores of soldiers while attacking the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the northern Hama countryside.

Among the individuals that were killed in northern Hama were several high ranking commanders of Daesh, including the so-called ’emir’ of Aleppo: Abu Al-‘Abbas ‘Anadan.

ISIS soldiers rebels are still launching sporadic attacks in the northern Hama countryside; however, they have failed to yield any advance near Ma’an.
