Syria Will Be Liberated Within a Week, an Officer of the Syrian Army Said

Heavy clashes continue in Deir ez-Zor as the Syrian Arab Army attacks the fighters of ISIS.
Ibrahim, an officer in the Syrian Arab Army described the ongoing clashes by saying: “Every day there is a combat. They’ll use heavy weapons from a range, or they’ll try to infiltrate during the night. They attack with suicide vests and car bombs. The battle goes on every day.”
He added: “The city of Deir ez-Zor will be liberated in a week, at most.”
Deir ez-Zor, which is situated southeast of Raqqa, was besieged by ISIS army in 2014. The Syrian Army with the help of the Russian Aerospace Forces recently helped in breaking the siege.
