Syrian Army Breaks a Huge Offensive from ISIS Soldiers Trying to Advance

The Syrian Arab Army foiled a fierce attack from Daesh army on military locations that surround al-Soukhna town to the east of Palmyra city in Homs province.

A Syrian source said that the surveillance system monitored several vehicles that are owned by ISIS moving from the depth of the Badiya area (desert) on the axis of the third station towards al-Soukhna town.

The source pointed out that the Syrian Army army, with cover from the Air Force, dealt with an ISIS attack through destroying at least seven vehicles and killing as well as injuring a number of ISIS militias in al-Mokharram area to the southwest of al-Soukhna.

A military source said that the Air Force of the Syrian Army carried out several airstrikes against ISIS fortifications and movement axes in the cities of Mohassan and al-Mayadin and in the village of Buqros al-Tahtani and Taibat Shamiya in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.

In the western countryside, according to the source, the Syrian Arab Army aircraft targeted ISIS movement axes in the village of Faida Bin Mwain’a, 85 km southwest of Deir Ezzor province.

The source included that the army airstrikes left a dozen of ISIS soldiers killed, in addition to destroying their armored vehicles and fortifications.
