The training course on “Media Advocacy for Sustainable Development Issues” began ,Saturday ,in Sana’a, by the Yemeni
Media Union in cooperation with Adad Foundation for Sustainable Development which lasts for three days for 26 members.
At the beginning of the training course , Mr.Hasan Hamoud Sharafuddin,the member of the Executive office in the Union,explained that the Union is eager to provide such courses to improve the skills of journalists in various fields, adding that they selected the 26 participant out of 60 members through special criteria.
He added that the course aims to develope the skills of Yemeni journalists to work on the sustainable development iissues n Yemen and strengthen their abilities to carry out information campaigns and advocacy,also networking with different institutions for people’s issues,
The training course is the first of its type in Yemen, which links the theme of sustainable development with the issue of media advocacy, and expected to produce media network to advocate for sustainable development issues and its 17 goals.
