Thousands of Yemenis Revive the Day of Imam Zayd’s Martyrdom

Today, thousands gathered in Bab al-Yaman in the capital Sana’a Sunday afternoon to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Zayd bin Ali peace be upon him.
Some of the slogans repeated by the participants in the event were: “We reject the arrogant countries. We reject colonialism.”
The speech of the scholars was carried out by Professor Abdul Majid al-Houthi, in which he stressed that the victory achieved by Imam Zaid against Yazid who is a tyrant, is a victory for the Islamic Nation.
He said: “You are the ones who embodied the characteristics of Imam Zayd in fighting the injustice of the oppressors and the arrogant and also fighting the ”Muawiya of today”, referring to the Saudi-led coalition.
A speech made by Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil stressed that the choice of the Yemeni people was derived from Imam Zayd, and it is a choice of resistance and standing in the face of any arrogant; therefore, it is a duty to stand against the Saudi-led coalition.
