Unknown gunmen assassinated on Wednesday the Imam and preacher of Al-Mansoura Mosque in the southern province of Aden.
According to media sources close to the Saudi-led coalition citing local residents that Sheikh Fahd Mohammed Qasim al-Yunisi “was assassinated the moment he left his house to perform the dawn prayer at the mosque of the Sahaba in Mansoura District.”
The deceased is a member of the administrative board of the Yemeni Wisdom Society of the Islah Party, as well as the Assistant Secretary General of the Association of Aden Scholars and Advocates and runs a private school called Al Bunyan School.
Earlier, unidentified assailants assassinated the imam and preacher of the Zayed Mosque in Aden, Sheikh Yassin al-Adani, by detonating an explosive device planted in his car, last Tuesday.
The security forces belonging to the UAE arrested last Wednesday, leaders of the Islah Party during storming and raiding the headquarters of the party and the houses of its leaders in the city of Aden and took them to anonymous destinations.
This comes in light of the security chaos witnessed by the southern provinces under the supervision of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the struggle of agendas between paid-militias affiliated with the forces of the coalition.
