UAE warplane crashes in Yemen, 2 pilots killed

An Emirati fighter jet crashed in southern Yemen, Tuesday, after experiencing technical difficulties during its brief flight, according to Emirati sources.

According to United Arab Emirates’ (U.A.E.) – Ministry of Defense, the F-16 fighter jet was carrying out an operation when the pilots lost control of the aircraft due to technical malfunctions.

Two pilots were reportedly killed during the crash landing, the Ministry of Defense went on.

 Later in the day, the Ministry of Defense announced that the pilots were named  ‘Ali Al-Masmari and Badr Al-Marashadeh.
